On the 7th June 2023, thirteen convertibles set off from Old Reigatians Rugby Club on Park Lane, each costing no more than £999, each having seen much better days, each faced with a near 1500km drive through the heart of France to our final destination, Antibes.
We turned this very clean 1978 blue Mercedes SLK into a spitfire, complete with rank, kill count, roundels and bullet holes. The vehicle was thoroughly cleaned, removing dirt and grime from quite possibly 10 years ago (at least!). We then wrapped the whole vehicle in KPMF dark grey, then mapped out the camouflage patches and used 3M knife-less cutting tape to get that clean, curved edge!
I have spoken with the customer since and he has decided to keep the car as is, and is using it daily.
We also added a 10" black racing strip to this very clean Saab 9-5 along with racing numbers, printed out large company logos for various other teams and two of the charity's logos for all the teams on waterproof, UV protected, permanent air release media.
